Your journey starts now! Perdue AgriBusiness has an opening for a Grain Storage Manager for our Grain Elevator located in Lakeville, NY. The overall purpose of this position is to be responsible for leading the production and manufacturing processes for the grain receiving and storage facilities within the assigned area. Responsibilities & DutiesProvides effective leadership for the staff within the assigned area/region to include hiring, training and development of the staff to meet the operational needs to maximize facility efficiency and associate utilization. Leads the implementation and execution of safety, environmental and other regulatory programs within the assigned area/region to ensure safety working conditions for all associates and compliance with all federal, state and local requirements. Manages effectively operating costs for the area/region to achieve lowest cost per unit while maintaining effective facility operation and superior customer services. Develops and executes capital plans and projects to provide for reliable operation, efficiency improvements and achievement of strategic plans. Implements and manages effective inventory management programs to ensure quantity and quality of inventory and ensure customer requirements and specifications are attained. Leads the maintenance and reliability programs to operate safe, efficient, cost effective and reliable operations while using industry best practices while maintaining and improving asset health. Manages grain receiving and storage assets within assigned area/region to ensure maximum equipment and associate utilization. Minimum EducationBachelors degree in Agriculture, Management, Business, Engineering preferred Experience RequirementsMinimum 3 years of related experience. Knowledge of grain handling operations or equivalent manufacturing technologies; applicable safety and environmental programs and requirements; applicable inventory control programs and requirements. Basic understanding of commodity markets. Knowledge of standard software applications. Strong communication, analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills. Environmental Factors and Physical RequirementsAble to move freely throughout the agribusiness facilities including climbing vertical heights (0 -150'), carrying tools and equipment (0-50 lbs.), exposure temperatures (0-100) degrees Fahrenheit, humidity (0-100%), noise (50db to 100db) and chemicals (MSDS sheets available).
